I grew up in a poor family in the Philippines, and from a young age, I’ve lived with a hearing difficulty that made everyday situations more challenging. Because I couldn’t always hear clearly, the idea of traditional jobs and in-person interviews felt intimidating. I was often afraid I might miss questions, misunderstand instructions, or be misunderstood.

When the pandemic hit, everything changed.

During that time, I discovered the world of remote work and learned about virtual assistant roles. The idea that I could work from home, without long commutes or in-person pressure, gave me the confidence to try something new. For the first time, work felt accessible.

I began investing in myself by taking courses in social media management, graphic design, Facebook ads, and digital tools. What started as curiosity quickly turned into passion. I realized that this was something I not only could do, but something I genuinely enjoyed.

Over time, I gained experience, built skills, and grew more confident in my work. Today, I can honestly say that I love what I do. Through Creatrix Social Lab, I’m able to support brands, work creatively, and build something meaningful while also helping support my family and loved ones.

My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s proof that with the right opportunity, consistency, and belief in yourself, it’s possible to build a future that once felt out of reach.
